Fighting Farmers
News Release from the desk of Coach Kennedy:
While the rest of the league was fighting over overrated, unproven prospects and rejects, the new look fighting farmers staged a coup in this years draft. With three, yes three starting quality running backs, a future All-League quarterback, the best kicker in the league, not to mention the single most talented receiver in the draft surrounded by accomplished starters.
One has to wonder what the other coaches were thinking, especially the two league leaders from last season. In the hectic scramble to find diamonds in the draft mine, Matt and Jay came out covered in coal. Still smarting from his lack of “luck” the past few seasons, Coach Kennedy’s draft strategy of winning today with an eye on the future was a bold stroke of genius. While the coveted Blue Ox trophy flounders helplessly and hopelessly neglected by the owner of the Goodgers franchise, the Fighting Farmers already have plans in the works for a towering trophy case to be on display in the Kennedy sports museum in St. Louis Park.
Let the games begin!

Notes from Goodger Camp:
Coach Wendelberger had little to say in the war of words brewing between the Fighting Farmers and the Goodgers -- or the Fighting Farmers and the rest of the League. He did take exception to the insinuation that the Blue Ox has somehow been neglected over the past two seasons. "We have utmost respect for the Ox and tradition. I can't help it if the league found the cheapest trophy it could, wait, strike that, the Blue Ox remains safe and sound here in Goodgerland and with a little luck, will for another year." Pressed further, he said, "Well, I'll tell you one thing those Angry Hicks have improved on, that's the best darn press release I've seen from this league, graphics and everything. I guess I'll have to work on my H.G. Wells or HTML or whatchyacallit?"
haha! I actually think that your team Jay, Andy's team, and my own team are fairly close. Matt's team is absolutely stinky. Just trying to get everyone pumped for the season. Wait till my next one....
Keep 'em coming, Shawn.
The more the better!
