Last week the Farmers reaped a bumper crop by defeating 3X BTFFL champions Bucky's Goodgers. They also got off the schnied of losing for umpteen consecutive games to the Goodgers.
The Farmers have been fertilizing Fallow Field for much of the season, and the once dilapitated dust bowl is now a model of the miracle of cow manure. This week's game against the Goblins is sure to stir up some heated emotions as the coveted Scarecrow Trophy is on the line. A pep rally sponsored by Con Agra will be held at Fallow Field with a live feed of the game coming over the newly installed jumbotron scoreboard. While the Farmers haven't been able to generate many points this season, their gutsy play has allowed them to stay tied for 2nd place with the Halifix Spitfires. If the Spitfired lose their matchup against the Goodgers, the Farmers will move into a first play tie with their arch rivals. This may very well be the most important week of the BTFFL season.
