Statement from the Commissioners Office in response to Blue Ox situation:
Mr. Wendelbergers statement is completely false. First of all, the Goodgers did not win the 2006 Blue Ox Bowl, as claimed in their statement. Secondly, while it is true that there was some damaged sustained during "shipping" of the original Ox to the commissioners office before the 2003 season, that damaged was repaired. If you look at the Ox as it is represented in the pictures provided by the Goodgers (no one has seen the Ox this year, and for all we know these pictures could have been taken years ago) it appears to be missing a "horn" and.....are those coffee stains?
This is a disgrace to the entire BTFFL and all of our fans.
I can assure everyone however, that the Blue Ox trophy situation will be resolved by the start of the 2007 season. Either a new and better trophy will be found, or the current Blue Ox, if located, will be restored to new condition(if possible).

Seriously, what do you want to do about the state of the BOB trophy. Should we try to repair it? or try to get a new one?
We should get a new one. I think we also need a Gopher Bowl trophy. Maybe even a regular season trophy of some kind.
I agree with all that. Where can we get a new Blue Ox? Do you think they still sell them?
I hope so -- it was at one of those MN shops. I would think we should be able to find something.
