Michigan: I called for Carr to be fired 2 years ago when they lost 5. Carr’s National Title run appeared to vindicate him last season. He should have left before this fiasco. He should have been fired before, he should be fired now. How many games will Michigan win this season? Will Brewster bring home the Jug in his first year?
Minnesota! Wow. What a difference a week makes. This week the Gophers take another MAC team to OT but win. Adam Weber is the top BTFFL player after 2 weeks! He reminds me a lot of Drew Stanton when he runs – not pretty but effective. And this week his passes hit the mark. Unfortunately, this is also a matter of no matter how much things change they stay the same. While the Gophers looked better against Miami, they still needed a bad call and OT to win. The Big Ten schedule still won’t be kind to them. But a win is a win, right?
Wisconsin. Badgers path to Big Ten title seems clear. Michigan is winless, Ohio State has looked unimpressive. So the Badgers look like winners. Well, they sure didn’t look like Big Ten Champions against UNLV. I hate to say it but I’m starting to wonder about PJ Hill’s long term fantasy value. The good news for the Spitfires is no one is getting any meaningful carries other than PJ. John Clay has yet to see the field. I have to think if we get to the Big Ten season and he has not played, we are looking at a Red Shirt.
Ohio State: Again, not impressive in the win. No running game to speak of. Wells’ yards almost all come at the end of the game on, like, 3 runs. Boeckmann again looks ok, clearly locks on to Robiski. Shoencroft sees some action again – he sucks again. Will Henton get a shot?
Iowa: Christensen appears to take a leap forward – Syracuse doesn’t bother to cover TE, that helps. It could be ugly for universally loved Iowa State this week.
Illinois: Juice still has not put it together but he’s close. Mendenhall looks very good – so does his back up, Daniel Dufrene! Go DD. Benn and Williams will have a good run though.
Indiana: Don’t you wish your team had offered Kellen Lewis as a QB? I know I do.
Penn State: Screech returns to form. He’s apparently satisfied with his play -- "I don't know how I didn't have a good game," Morelli said. "We won the football game. So many people are so caught up on stats. Stats are so overrated. I'm so tired of hearing about it. It's so ridiculous. It's just unbelievable. No one's ever satisfied with a victory." PSU gets laugher in Buffalo this week.
Northwestern: That was sweet. Great game winning drive for Bacher. I also recall a long discussion about who Sutton’s back up is at the draft. Always worthwhile backing up your studs.
MSU: Ringer finds the End Zone this week.
Purdue: Everyone is going to score on that offense, especially Curtis Painter!

Yes, I was going to respond to your "thoughts" post last week- I really liked it and it deserved(s) multiple responses. So here are my disorganized thoughts without the colored text.
First, I wrote about this last year and I think it is even more evident this year.
THE BIG TEN SUCKS!!!
From top to bottom the big ten looks just awful! This may be as bad as I have seen it in my lifetime. With the exception of Purdue, every BT team has looked vulnerable, inconsistent, and very beatable.
Again, I would argue it was the same last year, but I thought OSU was legit until the championship game and they (and Mich) were exposed as beneficaries of a weak conference. This year michigan and OSu are worse, Minnesota is at an all time low, Iowa is just as bad as last year, and Penn State has a high school offense.
Michigan- This is so enjoyable to watch! I love it! Carr is the worst coach in the BT and hopefully they keep him for another year. They still finish with a winning record this year but no titles.
Wisconsin- after week one I thought they would walk to the BT title but after last week and this week I think they are overrated too. The Citadel?! Please! I heard the Wisc crowd booing at halftime and they should. They could still win the BT but I would say this team is not in the class of the 1990s Wisc clubs. Hill is a stiff, he looks like nick bell- straight ahead runner with little speed. They should start a Freshman and bench Hill.
Purdue- I have not seen much of them, but judging by the scores and the rest of the BT, this is the team that should win the BT. Who can stop their offense? Next week will be UGLY!
OSU- Clearly a down year. Their O is always conservative but their struggles to run the ball is surprising. What a boring team to watch. I can excuse their poor play this year after losing Smith and winning the BT title last year. But they need O help and I'm glad I do not have Wells! Oh , wait my backs are even worse! Ouch!
Iowa- WOOO- this is great!!! GO IOWA STATE! I knew it! Iowa is no damn good! ISU is bad and Iowa st is dominating Iowa. Wow! This is a very average Iowa squad and Christ looks like shit. I take some consolation is seeing Iowa suffer, but I m surprised Iowa is this bad again.
MSU- This could be the best coaching hire in the BT. MSU looks better than last year. I have a feeling they are going to rise again, although this year will still be a struggle. Hoyer looks average at best, and Ringer is a bust!
Illinois- Not very impressed with Juice. He looks OK but not as great as I expected. I think Zook is ruining him. Clearly, ILL is going to a bowl and the recruiting is paying off but something is missing and I am not sure yet what it is.
Indiana- Kellen lewis looks great! I feel like its randle-el all over again. How good would Ind be without lewis and Hardy? Still a bad team but not the worst in the BT. The Rbs are all worthless- some things never change.
Penn State- Decent D but awful offense. I think Paterno needs to go. Outside the one year with Robinson, PSU has had terrrible O for the last 10 years. This is the most boring team in the BT and when PSU can't run they can't score. What will happen in the BT season?
Northwestern- I knew not getting Bacher was going to hurt me and it has already. Nice grab Jay. He could end up being the best fantasy Q in the BT. What the F is up with Sutton? What a disappointment. this seems like a typical NW team. They have some O power but a sub-par D and without a running attack they will live and die with Bacher.
Miinnesuckta- This is the nightmare scenario. As sceptical as I was about this coach and year, I did not expect this level of disaster. Although I said last year that Minnesota had its worst D ever and you could see the major erosion of the team taking place I thought Minn was good enough to win 4 games this year-ha! We have the worst D in the country! This is the worst Minnesota team I have seen since 1983. This will probably be the worst team in gopher history (at least among the worst 3 ever). Getting blown out by Florida Atlanic in the first half! Fucking inexcusible!!! Joel Maturi should be fired, Brewster should be fired if he cannot get a top 25 recruiting class this year. For the first time in my life I do not want to go to the games. I think I will sell my tickets. i simply do not want to watch a pathetic team get killed every week. MN may win one more game this season but 1-11 will not surprise me. Either way, Mn is the worst team in the BT- thank you Glen Mason for leaving the team with absolutely no talent and thank you Brewster for making the little talent you have look worse and thank you Maturi for waiting too long to fire mason and hiring a guy who is not good enough to coach Cooper high. The curse of my life continues
No colored text!?! Heresy!
I going to have to start a new entry with more colored text.
