In the first trade of the 2005 BTFFL season, the Halifax Spitfires send WR Clinton Soloman (Iowa) to the Golden Goblins in exchange for WR Ted Ginn Jr. (Ohio State).
The Spitfires coach Carhart said, "Clinton is a talented player, but his career is coming to an end after this year and we needed to bring some young blood into our program."
The Goblins coach Carhart simply said, "Ted Ginn sucks."
